Priorities

Eustis is growing, and growth brings both opportunities and challenges. I believe growth should create opportunity for the people who already live here. Every decision made by city government should be evaluated through one simple question: How does this benefit Eustis residents? My priorities focus on protecting what makes our city special while creating opportunities for future generations. Responsible Growth & Community Investment Growth is coming to Eustis whether we plan for it or not. The question is whether that growth will strengthen our community or place additional strain on our roads, infrastructure, public safety services, and neighborhoods. I support thoughtful growth that:
  • Protects existing neighborhoods
  • Invests in roads, utilities, and infrastructure
  • Encourages quality development
  • Maintains the character of our community
  • Creates opportunities for residents and local businesses
Growth should improve the quality of life for the people who already call Eustis home. Conservation & Community Spaces Our lakes, parks, trails, and public spaces help define the character of Eustis.  These places are where families gather, children play, residents exercise, and visitors experience our community. I believe we should:
  • Protect our lakes and natural resources
  • Preserve green spaces where possible
  • Support clean, safe, and welcoming parks
  • Invest in recreational opportunities for residents
  • Promote environmental stewardship and beautification efforts
As founder of CleanUp Eustis and a board member of Trout Lake Nature Center, I have seen firsthand how much residents value our natural resources and public spaces. Education, Economy & Workforce Development A strong local economy creates opportunity. I believe Eustis should actively support partnerships that help residents gain skills, find meaningful employment, and build successful careers close to home. My focus includes:
  • Supporting workforce development programs
  • Strengthening partnerships with educational institutions
  • Encouraging businesses that provide quality jobs
  • Supporting local entrepreneurs and small businesses
  • Creating pathways to higher-paying careers
Growth should create opportunities not only for new residents but also for the families who have invested their lives in our community. Fiscal Responsibility Residents work hard for their money. City government has a responsibility to spend taxpayer dollars wisely, prioritize core services, and continually look for ways to improve efficiency. I support:
  • Responsible budgeting
  • Transparent decision-making
  • Evaluating spending priorities
  • Seeking efficiencies through technology and innovation
  • Maintaining strong public safety services while managing costs responsiblyGood government means delivering value to residents while planning responsibly for the future.
Public Safety & Quality of Life Residents deserve to feel safe in their neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces. I support continued investment in public safety, strong partnerships between city departments and residents, and efforts that improve the overall quality of life throughout our community. Safe neighborhoods, clean parks, reliable infrastructure, and responsive local government all contribute to making Eustis a place where families want to live, work, and raise children. Working Together The best ideas do not belong to any one person. I believe the strongest communities are built when residents, businesses, nonprofit organizations, educators, and local government work together toward shared goals. My commitment is simple: Listen. Lead. Serve. And always put residents first.
